Blackjack Rules

The rules of Blackjack are very easy to learn. The basic object of the game is to get as close to 21 as possible without going over. The value of the cards are as follows, all number cards hold their face value, face cards hold the value of ten, and the Ace can be either counted as one or eleven. In this game you are not playing against the other players at the table, you are playing against the dealer alone. You reach twenty one by adding up the value of the cards in your hand, the closest person to 21 without going over wins the hand. If you and the dealer have the same total it is a tie, or "push".

Before any players get cards, they have to make a wager. After all wagers are made then each player and the dealer are dealt two cards. You now have several options. If you think that you hand comes close enough to 21 that you don’t want anymore cards then you choose to Stand (take no more cards). If you are far from the goal of 21 then you will Hit, which means to get one or more extra cards depending on how far you need to go to reach your goal. You also have an option called Double Down. This means to double your first bet and receive one and only one additional card. This means that you can either lose double your original bet or make a great win. Another option that you have if you are dealt two cards with the identical value is called splitting. This is when you split the initial hand you are dealt into two separate hands and play out each hand. Now all of the rules have been laid out for you for this original version of Blackjack, so you are well on your way to learning how to perfectly play the best game in the world, to finish your education keep reading through this site.
